Annual Scientific Report in cooperation with the Leipzig Heart Center

The study is considered a worldwide breakthrough because it revolutionizes the treatment of heart attacks when a so-called cardiogenic shock (pump failure of the heart) occurs.

This pilot study investigates whether regular ultrasound examination of the diameter of the vena cava inferior improves the recompensation therapy in acute heart failure decompensation with regard to a surrogate endpoint and whether it is feasible in clinical routine.

This study will be conducted at 45 centers in Germany and is also designed to change the guidelines.
